Celebrating West Bengal at The Andhra Education Society’s Primary School
On February 8<sup>th</sup>, 2024, The Andhra Education Society’s Primary School hosted a vibrant celebration of “Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat”, focusing on the rich culture of West Bengal. The event, held in the school hall at 11 am, welcomed esteemed guests, including The Hon. Gen. Secretary Shri. A. S. R Krishnaprasad, Treasurer Shri Gangadhar Reddy, Management Committee Member Smt. Vijayalaxmi, and heads of various sections.
Dressed in traditional Bengali attire, the entire primary staff and heads of sections added a colorful touch to the occasion. A captivating Durga Puja setup adorned the venue, showcasing the essence of West Bengal’s culture. Highlighting the festivities, a graceful Dhunichi Dance, performed by primary teachers and section heads, captivated the audience, while students of standard I presented a lively folk dance.
The event also featured a portrayal of a Bengali marriage ceremony, offering insights into the cultural customs of West Bengal. Additionally, a comprehensive display showcased the state’s essence, covering its introduction, notable personalities, culinary delights, and famous landmarks.
Engaging students from standard I to IV, the event encouraged active participation in sharing insights about West Bengal. Guests were treated to a delightful array of Bengali dishes, adding to the immersive experience.
Overall, the celebration provided a captivating glimpse into the vibrant culture and traditions of West Bengal, leaving attendees with a genuine sense of immersion in the state’s rich heritage.
